Kaila Morris' stepfather last saw her at the family home near the Mississippi/Alabama line in Lowndes County, Mississippi. The stepfather stated he saw Kaila get into a dark-colored van or sport vehicle. Kaila left her purse, vehicle, bulldog, and other personal items at the family home. Kaila normally lived near in Starkville, Mississippi where she was enrolled in the Mississippi State University and was visiting the family home while her mother was vacationing in Florida at the time. Kaila's cellular phone has never been found.
