August Schwabenland was reported missing on 11/16/2004 by his caregiver, who last saw him at his residence on 11/13/2004 at about 1:30 pm. Deputies investigating the missing persons report interviewed persons who last saw him on 11/13/2004 at about 7:00 pm leaving a local restaurant/bar located on North Bank Rogue River Road, driving downriver toward Gold Beach in his maroon 1996 Buick Le Sabre.
