James Hysong

Hysong was last seen at 10:15 a.m., flying a rented 1993 Piper Cherokee Arrow from the Toledo Suburban Airport. He was suppose to take a twenty minute flight to Jackson, Michigan to take a test to become a flight instructor. Hysong did not file a flight plan. The FAA air logs show that Hysong flew past Jackson and over Lake Michigan, where it disappeared an hour after take off. An extensive search that involved Sonar Imagery showed no signs of the plane or Hysong.
