On 9/10/2025 at approximately 0520 hours, Brandon Taylor and a friend were boating about 45 miles offshore when they were thrown from the vessel. The duo treaded water for an extended time. The friend advised that Taylor made statements of not being able to tread water any longer and then lost sight of Taylor. The friend was located offshore in Pinellas, where he was recovered by a charter boat. Taylor was last seen wearing no shirt and tan shorts.
