Kenneth Leslie was taking fishing and camping gear to a camping spot on the Columbia river when his boat sank. Leslie had made a trip to the camping spot and came back for a second load. Halfway across the river, water started coming into the boat, which nosed into the cold water and overturned. The boat and some equipment was found five miles downstream, but several searches for Leslie found negative results.
