Jose was traveling with a cousin and a group of people crossing the border from Mexico. The group crossed into McAllen on 9 APR 2012. Jose and the group were brought to an unknown location to begin walking; it is unknown where they were walking. One story indicates that Jose had gone back to Guanajuato. Another says that he had been left behind by the group because he was hallucinating, coughing and had a fever. Another says that Jose ran off with a Honduran man because the group was being chased by Border Patrol.
