The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the August 28, 1973 disappearance of Allen Carl Warner. Mr. Warner was last seen by members of the North Wildwood Police Department on August 27, 1973. At the time of the disappearance, Mr. Warner was described as being a 21-year-old white male standing 6’2” and weighing 185 pounds and having blonde hair and blue eyes. On August 28, 1973, a boat belonging to Mr. Warner’s father was found adrift two miles off the Atlantic coast of Cape May County. Located within the boat were the personal effects and identification of Mr. Warner. Several days prior to his disappearance Mr. Warner stated to family members that if he ever got into trouble with law enforcement he “would leave and not face it.” Mr. Warner has not been seen or heard from since August 27, 1973 and his remains have never been found.
